For the last two years, the FC Dallas U-16s have played unforgettable matches in the Generation adidas Cup beating teams like Valencia, Athletic Bilbao and the Mexico National Team en route to consecutive Championship Division semifinal appearances.
They can't get to those games, however, if they don't take care of business in qualifying.
A U-17 tournament, the FC Dallas team will be a mix of U-16 and U-18 eligible players and they begin qualifying today at 4:30PM against Columbus Crew SC and tomorrow against the Houston Dynamo. The matches are played at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City.
