FRISCO, Texas – With the signing of Franco Jara from Pachuca, FC Dallas completed one of the more high-profile signings in the club’s recent history. Although Jara will not arrive in Texas until the summer, we can still keep tabs on him and get a better picture of what is to be expected once the forward officially joins his new club.
Pachuca claimed another three points in Liga MX play against Santos Laguna over the weekend. While Jara did not find the scoresheet in this one, he lasted until the 74th minute as his team leapfrogged Santos Laguna and now finds itself inside the top eight.
It was Jara’s fellow strike partner Colin Kazim-Richards who netted the match’s lone goal in the 29th minute of action, but the Argentine nearly found himself on the scoresheet again with a header that just missed the bottom right corner in the 18th minute.
