FCD Special Olympics Team, supported by Globe Life, Wraps up Undefeated 2016 Season

Special Olympics 7/16

Saturday night in Commerce City, Colorado, the FC Dallas Special Olympics team, supported by Globe Life, wrapped up a successful 3-0-0 unbeaten season with a victory over the Colorado Rapids Special Olympics side.

The team posted victories over the Sporting Kansas City and Chicago Fire Special Olympics teams prior to Saturday's game, and there was no shortage of prolific plays during their campaign, including this rocket by FCD's Roy Bayona on July 16th against Chicago.

For two lucky, but deserving, FC Dallas players, San Jose and the MLS All-Star festivities are up next as midfielder Doug Sullivan and defender Laurence Fairchild were selected to the MLS Special Olympics All-Star team. They'll be in action Thursday, July 26 immediately following the MLS All-Stars' open practice at San Jose's Avaya Stadium.

Just like the First Team, the FC Dallas Special Olympics squad, supported by Globe Life, has been in a great run of form as they followed up last year's 5-4 aggregate victory over LA Galaxy in a two-leg series with an undefeated season in 2016.

Best of luck to our athletes headed to San Jose and to our entire team for their excellent play, sportsmanship and passion!
