FRISCO — FC Dallas WPSL capped off its four-game road trip with a 5-2 win over last-placed Little Rock Rangers Sunday evening.
FCD entered the game in second place in the Southwest Conference with three wins and a draw on the season. The match against Little Rock featured nine players who had not seen the field so far this season, and out of the nine, six of them still feature for their high school and play for various teams within the FC Dallas Youth Club.
Dallas flew out of the gates to start its game, scoring four goals before the halftime whistle blew. Behind Kaycie Tillman and a brace from Belicia Mendiola in the first 15 minutes, FCD found itself leading 3-0. Valerie Morris then added another goal before Little Rock pulled one back on the brink of halftime. Sunday marked debuts for both Tillman and Morris, who both found their feet in their first game of the season for FCD.

After a goal scored for both sides in the second half, Trinity Thomas scoring for Dallas, FCD would come away with a 5-2 to end its road stint and bring all three points back home. It was Thomas' first goal of the season.
"It always great to give our youth more opportunity," WPSL Head Coach Tyler Powell said. "This is what FC Dallas stands for. We not only talk about opportunity for our players but we act on it. Several youth players were able to gain valuable experience today, which will only serve them well in their journey to reach their soccer goals."
With the road stint behind FCD, the club will now return home for its next five games, with three this week starting Wednesday, June 20 against Texas Spurs FC.
