FRISCO, Texas – With three matches in eight days, FC Dallas head coach Schellas Hyndman gave the majority of Saturday’s starting lineup the day to recover. The exception was Brek Shea, who had the choice but opted to train with the reserves following a short talk with Hyndman.
The drill of the day was five-on-five in a 40-yard area. Goalkeeper Chris Seitz patrolled the south goal while Kevin Hartman and Josh Lambo took turns manning the north net.

Highlights
The team ran several 100-yard sprints following the game of five-on-five. Afterward, the first team players joined the reserves in working on their own around the field. Luna, Peri Marosevic and Andrew Wiedeman worked on finishing on the south goal guarded by Hartman. In the drill, a player 30 yards from goal would play a ball in to the feet of the attacking player. Starting with his back to goal, the attacking player would turn with the ball using their first touch and shoot on goal with their second touch.
On the opposite end of the field, David Ferreira worked with Eric Avila and Marvin Chavez on the left flank. Standing over the ball, Ferreira spent 30 minutes working on the timing and placement of balls sent in to the near and far posts.
