It's crazy season in MLS and rumors have been swirling this week the FC Dallas forward Maxi Urruti could be on his way to Ecuadorian-side Barcelona SC.
On Wednesday morning, FCD Technical Director Fernando Clavijo shut down any chatter of the club's co-leading scorer going anywhere this offseason.
"Rumors of FC Dallas loaning or transferring Maxi Urruti to Barcelona SC [are] not true," Clavijo said in a Tweet. " We are looking forward having Maxi contribute in 2017."
FC Dallas will begin their CONCACAF Champions League Quarterfinal match-up with Arabe Unido at Toyota Stadium on Feb. 23, before their MLS season opener on March 4th in LA and their 2017 home opener on March 18th against the New England Revolution.
