FC Dallas announces full broadcast plan for 2020

FRISCO, Texas- FC Dallas announced its 2020 television schedule today which includes 29 regular season games scheduled to air on TXA21 and the FCDTV Network. Five of FC Dallas’ games will be featured on national television, with four on UniMás and one on Univision.


TXA21 kicks off its coverage of FC Dallas’ 25th season at 5PM CT on February, 29, 2020 as FC Dallas hosts the Philadelphia Union in the season opener presented by AdvoCare. Pregame coverage for that match begins at 4:30PM CT.

FC Dallas Returns to TXA21 for 2020 Season  -

“As the local television home of FC Dallas, we look forward to celebrating this silver anniversary season,” said TXA21 and CBS 11 President and General Manager Gary Schneider. “We hope it proves to be a very special year for the team and its fans.”


Other highlights of TXA21’s broadcast schedule include:


  • A Texas Derby match against the Houston Dynamo on Saturday, May 16
  • Both matchups against the LA Galaxy on Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, October 4
  • Former head coach Oscar Pareja’s return to Toyota Stadium with Orlando City on Saturday, July 18 


Mark Followill returns for his ninth season as the television play-by-play announcer for most TXA21and FCDTV broadcasts. Owen Newkirk will provide play-by-play in Followill’s absence. Longtime soccer journalist Steve Davis will join Followill in the broadcast booth.


All of FC Dallas’ regular-season games can be heard in English on FCDallas.com.com/Radio with Tyler Kern providing pre-, halftime and postgame coverage. Matches in Spanish can be heard on Univision Deportes (1270 AM) with Carlos Alvarado returning for his 25th season in the booth. Rafa Calderon will join him, once again, as the color analyst. The duo also hosts FC Dallas Semanal on 1270AM every Thursday from 4-5PM during the MLS regular season.


Pre- and Postgame TV Coverage

Starting 30 minutes prior to kick, FC Dallas Live presented by Toyota will provide up-to-the-minute pregame coverage for all locally televised matches at Toyota Stadium. Gina Miller serves as the show’s host.
