FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (April 8, 2023) – FC Dallas (3-2-2, 11 points) defeats Inter Miami CF (2-5-0, 6 points) 1-0 thanks to a first half goal from Jesús Ferreira on Saturday night at DRV PNK Stadium. 

RECORD SETTER
Jesús Ferreira’s goal against Inter Miami CF made him the youngest player in MLS history to reach 40 career regular-season goals at 22 years, 105 days old. FC Dallas improved to 3-0 this season when Ferreira scores.

SHUTOUT WIN AWAY
FC Dallas registered its first shutout and road victory of the season with the 1-0 win. The club’s most recent shutout and road victory came in the same game on Sept. 3, 2022 against Minnesota United FC (3-0). Goalkeeper Maarten Paes picked up his ninth shutout of his career. 

THE HOLY TRINITY 
Three players with the name Jesus were involved in the opening goal for FC Dallas. Geovane Jesus carried the ball up the right wing and crossed for Jesús Jiménez before the ball fell for Ferreira to score his fourth goal of the season.
