FRISCO- FC Dallas returns home this weekend after a tough loss against Houston ready to prepare for a matchup against the New York Red Bulls. As the Red Bulls come to Frisco after falling to the Montreal Impact on Wednesday night at home, Dallas is preparing for their aggressive style of play.

“They’re a team that has worked in a way, in a system for 3-4 years,” head coach Luchi Gonzalez noted. “It’s a pressing system, with a lot of duels, a lot of winning second, third balls; constricting space, suffocating space.”
It’s a strength that New York has leaned on as they find their rhythm throughout the season.
“We want more aggressiveness in the final line, to be more of a threat,” Gonzalez added.
Defenders Reto Ziegler and Matt Hedges are aware that FCD is in need of a bounce-back. The focus this week turns to winning duels goes across the board, especially against a team that focuses on winning those later balls.

“Before you play futbol, you need to fight and win the duels.” Reto Ziegler noted. “The intensity is higher, the focus has to be higher, and the duels. We have to accept and win the duels. If we do that we will be one of the best in futbol.”
“They try to create chaos," Hedges added. "They’ve been good at it the past few years, it’s gotten them a lot of points.”
FC Dallas takes on the New York Red Bulls at 1pm on Saturday at Toyota Stadium. Catch it on Univision, Twitter and FCDallas.com/Radio and 1270 AM as well.
