FRISCO, Texas – With freezing rain and sleet once again in the forecast this week, FC Dallas has decided to postpone its annual Foundation fundraiser Cocktails and Cleats, presented by Chase.
The event, which was originally slated for Thursday evening at Fashion Institute Gallery in Dallas, will be rescheduled for a date yet to be determined.
After similar weather led to terrible road conditions in Dallas-Fort Worth last week and the cancelation of the Footy 5K presented by VAZATA, club President Dan Hunt expressed concerns about conditions for fans, players and staff traveling to attend the event. FC Dallas still plans to unveil the new 2015 AdvoCare away kit later this week.
FC Dallas is scheduled to open the 2015 season at home versus San Jose on March 7. The match, presented by AdvoCare, will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT at Toyota Stadium. The first 7,500 fans through the gates will receive free mini-scarves. Click here to purchase tickets for Saturday’s match.
