Stage Two of the 2015 MLS Re-Entry Draft was much less eventful for FC Dallas than last week's Stage One.
Dallas, along with 18 other teams, passed on making a selection from the 43 Re-Entry eligible players on Thursday. Orlando City SC and Portland were the lone teams to select the rights to a players, Orlando taking former New England Revolution defender Kevin Alston, while the Timbers took former Houston Dynamo defender Jermaine Taylor. Those clubs now have exclusive negotiating rights with their selection and have seven days to make a bona fide offer.
In the entire Re-Enrty Draft, only four players were selected: Maximiliano Urruti (S1 - FCD), Alec Kann (S1 - SKC), Alston and Taylor.
Next up in the MLS off-season is the MLS Combine from Jen. 7-12 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. with the 2015 MLS SuperDraft immediately following on Jan. 14 in Baltimore, Md. Stay tuned to FCDallas.com for all the latest off-season news and transactons for FCD.
