DALLAS, Texas (Thursday, March 2, 2017) – FC Dallas has teamed with CoServ to launch two community initiatives. The FC Dallas Youth Scholarship presented by CoServ will award $10,000 in scholarship funds to FC Dallas Youth players to pursue their college educations. The FC Dallas Teacher of the Month presented by CoServ recognizes outstanding DFW teachers for their dedication and work on behalf of north Texas students.
“CoServ admires the strong commitment to community and youth sports that FC Dallas has always exhibited,” said CoServ President/CEO Donnie Clary. “So this partnership between a service-driven energy company and an active, high-energy sports organization makes perfect sense.”
In 2017, the FC Dallas Youth Scholarship presented by CoServ will award $5,000 each to one (1) FC Dallas Youth graduating male senior and one (1) FC Dallas Youth graduating female senior to continue their education. Student-athletes can find eligibility requirements and apply online at www.FCDallas.com/scholarships. Applications will be accepted through April 7, 2017.
Launched March 1st, 2017, the FC Dallas Teacher of the Month presented by CoServ will accept nominations online at www.FCDallas.com/teacher through September 30th, 2017. CoServ will award a total of eight (8) teachers in 2017 with a $500 donation to their school, a customized FC Dallas jersey and a VIP experience to an FC Dallas home match.
“The FC Dallas Youth Scholarship and Teacher of the Month program are two more ways FC Dallas and CoServ are making a difference in the lives of north Texas students and the teachers that help them,” said FC Dallas president Dan Hunt. “We are excited about this partnership with CoServ and look forward to recognizing some outstanding educators and student-athletes in 2017.”
These partnerships are part of CoServ’s three-year commitment to serve as the official energy partner of FC Dallas, Toyota Stadium and Toyota Soccer Center. CoServ will also serve as the presenting partner for FC Dallas’ July 4th match against D.C. United and the annual post-game fireworks show.
