Needing to turn around a 3-0 deficit from leg one, we're having some fun with our Lamar Hunt Statue Scarfer this week as U.S. Army First Sergeant Donald Hansen will return for the second time this year after scarfing the statue at our 4-0 July 4th win over Orlando City, a score that would see FC Dallas advance to the Western Conference Finals for the second straight year.
If there's anyone deserving of scarfing twice, it's Hansen. Having first enlisted in the Air Force in 1986, Hansen joined the US Army in 1993 and was deployed three times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Hansen has won the Soldiers' Medal, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal and the list goes on and on.
Hansen was surprised at the July 4th match by Southern New Hampshire University with a full ride scholarship to pursue his Master's degree and we are excited to have him back on Sunday!
Following the same theme, do whatever you can to have some fun and re-create that July 4th game. Same jersey, same scarf...you get the idea!
