Hayes Week 4 TOTW Bench

FRISCO – FC Dallas midfielder, Jacori Hayes, made the bench in MLS’ Team of the Week for Week Four after his 90-minute shift in FCD’s 1-1 tie with Portland on Saturday.

Hayes started his third game in a row for FCD in what is turning out to be a starting role in his sophomore season in MLS. Hayes was drafted in 2017 from Wake Forest with the 18th pick of the SuperDraft.

Now with 248 minutes played this season and more than half of those minutes being two 90-minute games, FC Dallas fans can expect to see more of Hayes all season.

Hayes recorded his first MLS career assist on Saturday vs Portland as he set up Roland Lamah on his goal in the 36th minute.

“It’s really nice, you want to have threats all over the field, so you know I try to do my part,” said Hayes after the match. “It’s obviously something I try to work on, to get into the attack a bit more. I’m happy that I got the assist today to Roland.”
