Dallas to play its 22nd MLS home opener in a rematch of the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup final against the New England Revolution
FRISCO, Texas (Wednesday, Dec. 21) – FC Dallas’ first Major League Soccer match at Toyota Stadium in 2017 will be against the New England Revolution on Saturday, March 18, at 7 p.m. CT.
Tickets for FC Dallas’ 2017 home opener can only be secured at this time by purchasing a 2017 Season Membership, the 2017 Super Six Package, or by groups of 15 or more.

The game will be a flashback to one of the best moments of the 2016 season, when Dallas defeated New England, 4-2, to claim the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in front of a standing-room-only crowd of 16, 612 fans on Sept. 13, 2016.
This is the second time that the two MLS original franchises will have met in a home opener. New England first defeated FC Dallas, 1-0, on March 28, 1997, at the Cotton Bowl. That match is one of only four losses FC Dallas has suffered in home-opening matches.
Dallas’ record in home openers is 10-4-7. FC Dallas is 9-11-2 all-time versus New England in Dallas and 16-23-3 all-time in league matches. FCD has not lost in a home-opener since 2009 and has won five straight matches, three of which were shutouts. The 2017 season will be only the second time in franchise history that Dallas has not opened its season at home. The 2007 team opened the season with four straight away matches before returning to Toyota Stadium, where it defeated the Colorado Rapids, 3-1.

For the first time in FC Dallas history, the MLS home opener will not be the first competitive match at Toyota Stadium in 2017 as FC Dallas will host Panamanian champions Arabe Unido in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals on Thursday, February 23rd at 7:00PM. This marks the first time in franchise history the club has qualified for the knockout stage of the continental tournament.
