FC Dallas Homegrown Goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez Named No. 20 on MLSSoccer.com's Annual 24 Under 24 List

FRISCO - It’s the annual MLS 24 Under 24 season and FC Dallas goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez has been named among the league’s best young players for a second straight year.

Already with a career-best seven shutouts, 61 saves and eclipsing the 2,000 minute mark for the first time in his pro career, the Homegrown has taken the reins of the starting job in net for Oscar Pareja and after signing a long-term contract extension in June, he’s the man of the future in net in Frisco.


In 2017, Gonzalez made the switch to represent the U.S. Men’s National Team and earned his first senior team call-up for the knockout round of this summer’s Gold Cup, taking home the title with teammates Kellyn Acosta and Matt Hedges.


MLSSoccer.com is releasing players 16-24 Monday, 11-15 on Tuesday and the Top 10 24 Under 24 players on Wednesday this week. FC Dallas had four players named to the 50-man short list for this year's honors: Gonzalez, Acosta, Carlos Gruezo and Paxton Pomykal
