FRISCO, Texas (Oct. 27, 2025) – The FC Dallas Foundation, in partnership with Gallagher, Toyota and UMB Bank, unveiled a newly refurbished soccer pitch at Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep on Monday, Oct. 27. The project marks the Foundation’s 12th completed field through its Field Development Program, which creates safe, accessible spaces for North Texas youth to play and grow through soccer.
“The FC Dallas Foundation supports programs that promote education, health and wellness to empower youth and communities here in North Texas,” said FC Dallas Foundation Sr. Director Brooke Leverette. “Our Field Development Program is one of our most ambitious and we really try to build safe environments for children to play the sport of soccer. Providing that access is so important to us, especially in an area that has a need.”
The pitch is part of the Foundation’s commitment to promote a healthy, active lifestyle for youth and communities in North Texas by building safe places for them to play soccer through the Field Development program.
Other pitch locations across North Texas include Freddy Field in Dallas, Mercy St. in West Dallas, Jubilee Park in East Dallas, Moreland Family YMCA in Dallas, The Salvation Army in East Plano, Navo Middle School and Strickland Middle School in Denton, Lakeside Middle School in Little Elm, My Possibilities in Plano, and Shawnee Trail Elementary School and the STEAM FC Field in Frisco.
“Our students will walk with pride when they walk out onto this field,” Cristo Rey Dallas President & CEO Dr. Patrick Walsh said. “They will compete with other students that want to play here. What the FC Dallas Foundation has done is appropriately pointed out where the magnet is to attract people, seek out connection and grow. You have a formula here for the perfect combination of watching people mature and then be able to make contributions themselves once they graduate from our school.”
With over 10 years of serving students, Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep is a Catholic, college preparatory school for students from households of low to moderate income. The school nurtures and challenges students of all faiths to recognize and realize their full potential as they grow to love God, respect others and serve their community. Each student participates in the Corporate Work Study Program which offers a weekly work study experience for all four years
