FRISCO - FC Dallas and Sporting KC are set for a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinal clash on July 11 at Children's Mercy Park.
Dallas took a 3-1 result over the Colorado Rapids on Tuesday evening in the Round of 16, while SKC defeated the Houston Dynamo, 2-0, on Wednesday night in the other half of the Central Division draw. It is FCD's 16th appearance in a U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinal, the most among MLS clubs.
The defending champions will take to the road for the first time in the tournament looking to avenge a 6-2 Round of 16 loss in Kansas City in 2015, the last time the clubs met in Open Cup. For ticket information, visit SportingKC.com
