SAN JOSE, California (Aug. 8, 2026) – FC Dallas (2-0-0, 6 points) defeated C.D. Guadalajara (0-1-1, 1 point) 1-0 on Saturday night at PayPal Park, earning back-to-back shutout wins in the 2026 Leagues Cup. Logan Farrington scored the game-winning goal in the 73rd minute.Â
BIG DAWG FOR THE WIN
Forward Logan Farrington scored his first career Leagues Cup goal to propel FC Dallas past C.D. Guadalajara. The Racine, Wisconsin, native has scored six goals this season for Dallas.Â
TOROS VERSUS GOATS
Tonight’s Phase One matchup marked the second meeting in history between FC Dallas and C.D. Guadalajara in an official competition. The two sides previously met on July 24, 2007 in SuperLiga action at Toyota Stadium with the match ending in a 1-1 draw. Dallas now holds a 1-0-1 record against Chivas.
LEAGUES CUP DEBUT FOR SAMMY
Sam Sarver made his first start and Leagues Cup debut for FC Dallas. The 2025 MLS NEXT Pro MVP has made 11 appearances and scored three goals this season. Sarver is the 10th FC Dallas player to make his Leagues Cup debut in 2026.
