FC Dallas drops thriller to Chivas Guadalajara in Copa Chivas Day three

Day three of Copa Chivas 2014 turned out to be a wild one for the U-18s as they faced off against hosts Chivas Guadalajara in the third out of five group stage matches.


Having won one and lost one, the match would be crucial to FCD's hopes of advancing to the semifinals and after a wild game, FCD fell 5-4 to Chivas Guadalajara.


Chivas jumped out to a 2-0 lead after just five minutes played, but Dallas fought back. Goals from Diego De La Tejera and Alex Radilla pulled FCD level before halftime and midway through the second half, Santiago Agudelo scored a header to give FCD a shock lead. Chivas tied the game 3-3 before De La Tejera scored to once again give FCD the lead at 4-3. With time ticking down, Chivas found two goals in the last five minutes to earn a crazy win leaving FCD with three points from three games.


Friday is an off day for FCD in Guadalajara before facing Atlas and Vitoria to end the group stage this weekend. Dallas will need to win both matches to have a shot at making it to the semifinals.
