The FC Dallas U-18s kicked off the 2016 Scotiabank Copa Chivas against Liga MX side Club Tijuana dropping a 2-1 result in Guadalajara.
The match, which was played with 35 minute halves, was scoreless at halftime but the Liga MX side took the lead early in the second half through Julian Barajas.
FC Dallas pulled level in the 47th minute through UNC commit Giovanni Montesdeoca. Cesar Crespo scored ten minutes before the final whistle to secure the win for Xolos.
FCD has Saturday off before continuing the tournament against Monterrey on Sunday.
