FC Dallas Acquires Jáder Obrian from Águilas Doradas

Colombia’s current second-leading goal scorer to join FC Dallas

FRISCO, Texas – FC Dallas has acquired winger Jáder Obrian from Águilas Doradas on a permanent transfer and signed the player using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM). He will be under contract through the 2023 season with club options for 2024 and 2025 seasons. Per team policy, additional terms of the deal will not be disclosed.


The Colombian midfielder will be added to Dallas’ roster in January 2021 pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC). Obrian will occupy an international roster spot.


Obrian, 25, joins FC Dallas after spending two seasons with Colombian first-division side Águilas Doradas where he has scored 27 goals in 68 appearances across all competitions. He is currently second in Categoría Primera A with 13 goals scored this season. He has also played for Deportes Tolima and Uniautónoma FC in Categoría Primera A, as well as Cúcuta Deportivo during its time in Colombia’s second-division league Categoría Primera B in 2018.


Obrian started his professional career in 2015 with Uniautónoma FC and played alongside FC Dallas player Michael Barrios. He made his debut on February 3, 2015 in the 1-1 draw against Alianza Petrolera.
