It's Championship week across the FC Dallas Academy.
The U-18s and U-16s compete in their respective USSDA Semifinal rounds on Thursday in Carson, Calif. with a spot in Saturday night's Championship games on the line. Thursday's Semifinals as well as Saturday's Championship games will be streamed live by U.S. Soccer HERE.
Meanwhile the U-15s play in Nationals for the National Premier League championship, also beginning on Thursday.
FC Dallas U-18s
FCD vs. Nomads SC U-18s - Thursday at 10:30 PM (CT)
After sweeping their group during the USSDA Playoff group stage matches in Frisco in late June, No. 2-seeded Dallas won a thrilling 1-0 game in extra time over the Sporting KC U-18s last week at Toyota Soccer Center. As the highest-remaining seed in the tournament, FCD faces the lowest-remaining seed in Nomads - the 19th ranked team coming into the postseason with a 18-7-11 record.
The winner of Thursday's match will face the winner of the Vancouver Whitecaps U-18s vs. Players Development Academy (NJ) U-18s on Saturday, July 16th at 9:30 PM (CT). The two losing sides will face each other in the Third Place game at 12 PM (CT) on the same day.
FC Dallas U-16s
FCD vs. Chicago Fire U-16s - Thursday at 3:00 PM (CT)
As the Nation's top seed, the U-16s also swept their USSDA Playoffs group in Frisco in late June and won in convincing fashion over the Real Salt Lake U-16s, 3-1, last week at Toyota Soccer Center. Dallas will face the lowest remaining seed in this age group as well - the Chicago Fire U-16s who entered the postseason with a No. 10 ranking after a 16-6-3 regular season.
FC Dallas took home the 2015 U-16 USSDA National Championship with a team largely made up of the now-U-18 side. If the current U-16 crop is able to defend the trophy, Dallas would be the first team for any USSDA age group to win a National Championship in back-to-back years.
The winner of Thursday's match will face the winner of the LA Galaxy U-16s vs.Real Colorado U-16s on Saturday, July 16th at 7:00 PM (CT). The two losing sides will face each other in the Third Place game at 12 PM (CT) on the same day.
FC Dallas U-15s
After being invited to the USSDA U-16 Showcase in Frisco in late June, the FCD U-15s are set to compete for their own National Championship this weekend in Aurora, Colorado.
Dallas comes into the tournament as the No. 1 overall seed in this age group as well, posting a 15-2-0 record in their Texas Pre-Academy League, taking home the 2016 league crown. With group stage matches being played on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the Semifinal being played on Sunday and the Final played on Monday.
They will face the winners from three other Pre-Academy leagues this weekend: GPS NH Classics 00/01 (New England Premier League champions), TFA SE LA BARCA (Southern California NPL League champions) and Lake Norman SC (South Atlantic Premier League champions).
