The FC Dallas 01 Boys West team recently won back-to-back championships. The first tournament was the Carey Invitational that was held the weekend of May 10. They won their first game 1-0 against FC Dallas Blue, their second game 4-0 against Ayses Gold, and tied Andromeda FC Pre-Academy 1-1 to win their bracket with 22 points and advance to the finals. In the finals, they defeated the Dallas Texans 4-0 and claimed the title.
The second tournament they won was this past weekend at the Frisco Shawnee Trail Shootout where they defended their 2013 championship. They tied in their first game 1-1 against Ayses Gold, defeated FC Dallas Silver 3-0, and also defeated FC Dallas Blue 2-1 to come in first place in their bracket and advance to the semi-finals of the tournament where they played AFC Black. At the end of regulation the game was tied 0-0. Overtime consisted of two 10 minute halves and FC Dallas West managed to score two goals in order to advance to the finals. In the finals, they faced FC Dallas White. Once again at the end of regulation, the game was tied, although this time at three goals apiece. Similarly to the semi-finals game, FC Dallas West was able to score 2 goals in overtime to come out on top with a final score of 5-3.
