The moment was not too big for Twumasi.

“I felt confident, the team was behind me,” he said. “You know, everyone came to me trying to motivate me to make my debut. They’ve supported me from day one, and unfortunately we didn’t come up with the win, but hopefully we’ll get back to the basics and get a win on the weekend.”

Twumasi played the whole first half for FCD, recording one shot. He played a big role defensively, helping out Kris Reaves on the left side.

Head Coach Oscar Pareja was pleased with the first round pick’s performance.

“I thought it was good,” he said. “Good for us to add minutes for somebody who’s coming on their debut to give them important minutes. Feeling part of the team in a game that was important.”

After the quick turnaround from Wednesday’s match, FC Dallas will now have a full week to prepare for their next match and give Twumasi more time to evaluate his play.

“I was kind of getting a feel for everything,” Twumasi said. “So, I’ll get back and watch film to know what to do better for the next couple of games.”
