FRISCO – Coy Craft and the U.S. U-20s begin their quest for the FIFA U-20 World Cup this weekend as they open up play in the CONCACAF U-20 Championship.
The tournament begins for the Americans on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT with a match-up against the Panama U-20s, followed by matches on Tuesday against Haiti at 4:30 p.m. and Friday against St. Kitts and Nevis, also at 4:30 p.m. All three games will be shown live in the U.S. on Univision networks.
The top two finishers in each of the tournament’s three groups will advance to the classification stage, with two groups of three teams. The top two finishers in each of the classification stage groups will qualify for the U-20 World Cup, and the top team from each will play for the CONCACAF U-20 Championship title on March 5 – something the U.S. has never won.
