Bryan Reynolds Returns to FC Dallas Training After End of US U-17 Residency Program

FRISCO - It’s been a while since FC Dallas Homegrown Bryan Reynolds has been able to sleep in his own bed.

The 15-year-old forward has spent little time in Frisco since signing his Homegrown contract in November 2016. The Fort Worth native has been kept busy at the U.S. Soccer U-17 Residency Program in Bradenton, Florida, as well as at the CONCACAF U-17 Championship in Panama.

“I’m excited to train with the first team again,” Reynolds said after rejoining the first team on Tuesday night. “I’m just ready to grind and hopefully get an opportunity soon.”

Reynolds was part of the last group of U.S. Youth National Team players to take part in the residency program this past spring. Players take classes, train daily and live together during the program.

Then in April, it was off to Panama for Reynolds to represent the U.S. at the CONCACAF U-17 Championship.

He made three appearances, including one start, and scored a goal as the U.S. finished as runners-up in the tournament.

“I feel like I performed and I just have to keep grinding to get more minutes for the World Cup,” Reynolds said.

The U-17 World Cup in India is still more than four months away, and in the meantime, Reynolds has his sights set on making an impact with his club team.

Watching other Homegrown players like Paxton Pomykal and Jesus Ferreira have an impact on the first team serves as motivation for Reynolds, who’s eager to make his own mark.

“You just try to be different on the field,” Reynolds said. “I feel like I can get there soon.”
