This year's MLS All-Star game is set to take place at Avaya Stadium on July 28, where the best players in the MLS will take on English Premier League's Arsenal. You have until July 4th to cast your vote for the eight FC Dallas players who have been nominated for a spot on the team, including midfielder Mauro Diaz. We could probably list a hundred reasons why you should vote for him, but here's just a few reasons why you should get Super Mauro on the All-Star team.

Oh, Oh, Oh, It’s Magic

We can’t prove it, but with how he scores on free kicks effortlessly, Mauro Diaz must be a magician. There are no smoke and mirrors about, this Argentine is fueled by wicked passes and sorcerous strikes. In 48 career starts, Diaz has had a hand in 38 goals.

Tough to Tackle

Mauro Diaz isn’t among the league’s tallest at just 5’7” but like another famous Argentine number ten, Diaz doesn’t like to be slowed down. Diaz is the league’s most-fouled player, but despite that, he averages the fifth-most key passes per game in the league. You can try to take him down, but he will still find his teammates for scoring chances.

Primetime Player

As seen in last season’s MLS Cup Playoffs, where Diaz had four assists in four games, Mauro plays his best against the best. When Arsenal come to town, there’s no question that he’s man you want organizing the attack. On top of that, he has a flair for the spectacular, scoring three free kick goals in the past three seasons.
