Maxi has won the MLS Cup with Portland, the Supporters’ Shield and U.S. Open Cup with FC Dallas and most importantly his teams have only lost one regular season game when he records a goal, with a 28-1-10 in record. The last time his team lost an MLS game when he scored was June 1, 2014.
Goal-Scoring Ability
Since joining FC Dallas in 2015, he leads the team in goals, with 26. His six goals this season are tied for the team lead, and good for 12th in the league.
Accuracy
Urruti is ninth in the league in shots on goal. He has hit the target on 19 of his 47 shots this season, good for a 40 percent clip.
Consistency
Maxi scored in four straight games for FC Dallas from May 5 to May 25. It was his second time in his career he has attained this feat, doing it from June to July 2017.
Timing Runs
Maxi is great at making runs and timing it perfectly to stay onsides. He has only been called offsides four times this season, and he is one of five forwards in the league to score at least six goals and be called offsides four times or less.
