Advancing Scenarios for FC Dallas, Arabe Unido in CCL Quarterfinal Leg Two

CCL Ball Toyota Stadium

FC Dallas holds a commanding 4-0 lead heading into Leg Two of their CONCACAF Champions League Quarterfinal series against Arabe Unido - with the series winner drawing a Semifinal match-up against Liga MX-side Pachuca.

Here's a quick rundown of the scenarios for either side to advance:

For FCD to Advance Outright:

FC Dallas is in the driver's seat in the Quarterfinal series with a four-goal lead at the series half. A win by Dallas in any amount, a Leg Two draw or an Arabe Unido win by four goals or less (exception being a 4-0 win) would see FCD advance to the CCL Semifinal round outright.

Advancing Scenarios for FC Dallas, Arabe Unido in CCL Quarterfinal Leg Two -

For Series to Head to Extra Time:

The only result that would take the series to extra time would be a 4-0 Arabe Unido win in Leg Two - which would level the series on aggregate, 4-4. If Dallas scores a single goal in Panama, the home side would need to win by five goals because Dallas would hold the away goals tiebreaker (Arabe Unido did not score an away goal in Leg One).

In extra time, away goals no longer count and the two sides would play two, 15-minute halves. If the clubs are tied after 30 minutes, the series would be decided in a penalty shootout.

For Arabe Unido to Advance Outright:

The only way Arabe Unido can take the series outright is by virtue of a four-goal win on Wednesday night.
