FRISCO — The U.S. Soccer Development Academy announced its annual honors for this past season early Monday morning with FC Dallas well-represented. Three players on the U-17 squad were honored for their performances this season after FCD earned first place in the Frontier-U-17 Central Division with a record of 23-2-5.
Three FCD players were named to the Central Conference Best XI, including Diana Ordoñez, Reyna Reyes and Samar Guidry. Reyes started 28 of the 30 games she played in and added eight goals on an 82.3 shot percentage. Guidry scored two goals of her own while anchoring FCD's back line, which had a division-best goal differential of 63.
Ordoñez was also given the Central Conference Player of the Year award after scoring 26 goals in 14 games. She led the team in goals-scored and finished in fourth place across the entire league. Ordoñez also had the highest goals-per-games-played ratio in the league with 1.86.
