ACADEMY: FC Dallas U-17s One Match Away From Liga MX Internacional Final at Estadio Azteca

FRISCO - It's a revenge match that the FC Dallas U-17s are eager to play.

Competing in the Liga MX Internacional tournament in Mexico City over the last 10 days with the best Academy sides from MLS and Liga MX, Dallas leads the American bracket with 10 points and a 3-2-1 record. The only thing standing in their way from a spot in the tournament Final is a meeting with Atlanta United's U-17s on Friday - the same team that took the U-16 National Championship in come-from-behind fashion over FCD just six weeks ago.

Homegrown forward has led the Dallas U-17s with three goals in the tournament that has seen victories over Atlas, Toluca and the LA Galaxy. Dante Sealy (son of former FC Dallas player Scott Sealy), Gibran Rayo, Johan Gomez and Julian Hinojosa have all scored goals in the six matches as well.

A win or a draw against Atlanta would advance Dallas to the Final in the famous Estadio Azteca, where they'd face another pseudo revenge match against the Pachuca U-17s - the same club that knocked the first team out of CONCACAF Champions League play in April. The Pachuca U-17s have already locked up the top spot in the Mexican division with an undefeated 5-0-1 record and beat FCD 1-0 in the opening match of the tournament.
