FRISCO- FC Dallas Academy U-17 found its third victory of the regular season winning 3-1 against the Solar. This match meant a lot for the players as it was its first game back at home.
“It is very important to start of here at home strong. The boys came in with an initiative in this game, they wanted to represent the club, this jersey and their families and they showed that urgency and that desire in the beginning”, said Luchi Gonzalez.
In just 5 minutes Johan Gomez scored the first goal allowing the FC Dallas U-17 to take a lead but, in just three more minutes the Gomez would find the back of the net once again setting the tone against the Solar.
“It was a group effort, I am just glad to be able to put those chances away, we played well as a team” said Johan Gomez.
The solar was able to score in the 19’ minute but FC Dallas responded during the second half as Beni Redzic would score his fourth goal of the season.
“I'm very happy to score at home, it’s all about the team, I’m happy to help the team get the third victory. Always when we play at home we want to play good in front of our family and friends and get that victory” said forward Beni Redzic.
FC Dallas U-17 looks forward to keeping the momentum of their first matches as they begin their first of two rounds of qualifiers for the Generation Adidas Cup.
“Right now the team chemistry is high and we’ve been working, we’ve been practicing hard every day in getting ready for the GA Cup”, said Gomez.
