ACADEMY | FC Dallas heading to Florida for USSDA Winter Showcase, Nike Friendlies





Fresh off wrapping up their 2016 home slate with wins over Dallas Texans, the FC Dallas U-18s and U-16s head to Florida next week for the annual US Soccer Development Academy Winter Showcase. 


The showcase is an opportunity for all the Academy teams in the nation to come together for matches against teams outside their conferences giving the boys an opportunity to be scouted by national team scouts and face players and teams they don't get an opportunity to match up against very often playing three games in a four day span. 


U-18s to play in streamed feature match

The 8-1-1 U-18 squad was handed tough matchups as they'll face three teams with a combined three losses this season. FCD will face the New York Red Bulls U-18s on Thursday, December 1st at 1:30PM Central in match that will be streamed live on the US Soccer YouTube page. The next day, Dallas will face Atlanta United for the first time in club history while they'll wrap up the weekend on Sunday, December 4th with a matchup against Capital Area Railhawks from North Carolina. 


U-16s to face two MLS squads

The FC Dallas U-16s will also face two MLS squads matching up against NYCFC on Friday December 2, Seattle's Crossfire Premier on Saturday, December 3rd and the Montreal Impact on Monday, December 5th. The FCD U-16s current sit at 8-2-2 on the season tied for first place in their division.


Bryan Reynolds and US U-17s to contest Nike Friendlies

Want to see FCD's newest Homegrown signing Bryan Reynolds in action? He and the United States U-17 National Team will be in action during USSDA Showcase week with the annual Nike Friendlies. 


Reynolds and the U-17s took a 7-1 result over Portugal on Wednesday with the Dallas Homegrown registering two assists. They next face Turkey on Friday, December 2nd at 6 PM CT (USSoccer.com) and Brazil on Sunday, December 4th. All three matches will be streamed live on the US Soccer YouTube page.
