KANSAS CITY, Missouri (April 4, 2026) – North Texas SC (2-2-1, 7 points) earned a 4-1 victory over Sporting KC II after scoring three goals over a nine-minute span Saturday night at Swope Soccer Village.

OUR SOCA WARRIOR

Forward Natty James scored his first and second goals for the club in the 35th and 45th minutes of the match. The Trinidad and Tobago international signed for the club in January of 2026 and made his debut against Real Monarchs on March 1, recording an assist in the 2-2 draw. James, 21, has earned 23 caps for his nation and scored six times for the Soca Warriors.

FIVE FOR FIVE

Midfielder Edu Nys scored his fifth goal of the season in just his fifth appearance for the club. The Belgian was selected 40th overall in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft by FC Dallas before signing for North Texas SC. Nys scored on his debut against Real Monarchs before going on to register a hat trick in his second MLS NEXT Pro match against Colorado Rapids 2 on March 7.

BEM-VINDO LEANDRO

Defender Leandro Gonçalves made his North Texas SC debut after coming on in the 80th minute of the match. The Brazilian signed with the club on March 24, from São Caetano.
