After falling 3-0 to Austin FC II Wednesday on the road, North Texas SC will look to bounce back this weekend at home against Minnesota United FC 2. Since the introduction of MNUFC2 into the league in 2021, North Texas SC has a perfect record against the club with three wins. North Texas will look to continue their successful spell against the club on Sunday night

Player to Watch

A top performer through this first stretch of games has been captain André Costa. The midfielder has been the engine of the team, contributing to both the attack and defense. After four games, he’s fourth in the league with 10 tackles won. Even with his strong defensive prowess, Costa remains a vital part of the attack and is tied for third in the league with seven total key passes, alongside his North Texas SC teammate Bernard Kamungo. Costa is a progressive midfielder still displays the instincts of a defender. The second-year player is having a large impact early and is looking to maintain that momentum heading into the match this weekend.

MNUFC2 Second Best in the West

MNUFC2 are coming off a 2-1 win against LA Galaxy II after scoring twice in the first half. Led by head coach Cameron Knowles, the team is currently sitting in second position in the Western Conference with nine points through three matches. MNUFC2 are the joint top scoring team in the conference with eight goals. Midfielder Diogo Pacheco leads the club with three goals in three games. Pacheco is in his second season with the Loons, coming off last year's campaign where he registered three goals and five assists in 22 games. MNUFC2 is going into the match this weekend on a three-game road winning streak.

There are two options for parking at Choctaw Stadium: parking lots E and L. Fans are encouraged to purchase a prepaid parking ticket as day of game parking prices vary on events happening within the district. Tickets can be purchased through the AXS app or in person at Choctaw Stadium. Fans can also purchase tickets online. Fans may purchase either general admission tickets for $20 or field level seats for $40.
