Carl Sainté Called into National Team Duty for Haiti

FRISCO, Texas (September #, 2023) – North Texas SC midfielder Carl Sainté has been called up by Haitian National Team head coach Gabriel Calderon for its upcoming Concacaf Nations League matches during the September FIFA International Window running from September 4-12.

Sainté made his senior debut for the Haiti National Team in an international friendly against Guatemala on March 27, 2022. He appeared in five matches and played 162 minutes for Haiti during the 2022 Concacaf Nations League in League B play. He registered one start in Haiti’s 3-1 win over Bermuda on March 28 where he logged 89 minutes. Sainté registered 221 minutes played in three starts for Haiti at the 2023 Gold Cup. He was named the player of the match on FOTMOB in the 2-1 win versus Qatar on June 25.

HAITIAN CONCACAF NATIONS LEAGUE SCHEDULE

The Haitian Men’s National Team will compete in Group B of League A with Jamaica, Honduras, Cuba, Suriname and Grenada. Haiti will open play against Cuba on September 8, at 3PM CT at Estadio Panamericano in the Dominican Republic. Haiti will play its second game of the window against Jamaica on September 12, at 7:06PM CT at National Stadium in Jamaica.
