2014: Established himself as become one of the premier free kick specialists in the league, knocking in eight goals and five assists in 20 starts… Played a role in 25 of Dallas’ 55 goals… Converted all five penalty kicks he attempted, including two post-season goals.  2013: Appeared in 31 games for FC Dallas, starting 26 matches… Tallied three goals and eight assists… Scored a goal directly off a corner kick at Seattle on May 18… Became known for excellent service on set pieces, leading 13 set-piece goals for FC Dallas during the 2013 regular season and three more goals in the U.S. Open Cup.

Prior to Joining FC Dallas

Appeared 52 times and assisted on four goals in two seasons with Aris FC of the Greek first division. 2010: Played in 11 matches for Vila Nova (Brazil). 2009: Spent six months with Náutico (Brazil), appearing in 28 matches and scoring one goal. 2009 -06: Returned to South America in the summer of 2006, signing a three-year contract with Brazilian side Clube Atlético Paranaense. He played 58 games and scored six goals. 2006-04: Transferred to Belgian side Standard Liège, where he made 30 appearances and netted two goals. 2004-98: Began his professional career in 1998 with Brazilian first division side Atletico Mineiro. From 1998 to 2004, Michel made 83 appearances and scored nine goals.


Born in Victoria, Brazil… Recently rescued a dog that now lives with him in Frisco… Started his career with Brazilian side Clube Atlético Mineiro before moving to Belgium to play with Standard Liège… Returned to Brazil for a three-year stint with Atlético Paranaense… Spent an additional two years in Greece, playing for Aris before joining FC Dallas.
