FRISCO, Texas (March 9, 2021) – FC Dallas acquires Los Angeles Football Club’s natural third round pick in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft in exchange for the College Protected List rights to forward Cal Jennings.
Additionally, FC Dallas will receive additional incentives if Jennings meets certain performance-based metrics while with the club.
Jennings, 23, was selected 17th overall by FC Dallas in the first round of the 2020 MLS SuperDraft before signing with USL Championship side Memphis 901 in July 2020. He appeared in 14 matches for Memphis and scored nine goals. He was recently signed by USL Championship side Indy Eleven.
Transaction: FC Dallas trades the College Protected List rights to Cal Jennings to Los Angeles FC in exchange for LAFC’s natural 2022 MLS SuperDraft third round pick. FC Dallas will earn additional incentives if Jennings meets certain performance thresholds.
