Group Stage Update
The FC Dallas Academy completed Group Stage play in the 2024 Generation adidas Cup with the U17 team advancing to the knockout stages after winning Group I with two wins and a draw. The U15 team did not advance after registering two losses and a draw and will instead move to the Showcase side of the tournament, alongside other teams who were knocked out.
The U17s, coached by Matías Asorey, advanced after defeating Charlotte FC 1-0, drawing 0-0 with Toronto FC (falling 3-5 in the extra-point shootout) and beating Club Necaxa 2-0. They move on to the Round of 16 (single elimination) to face CR Flamengo of Brazil on April 3 at 1:30PM CT.

The U15s will play the remainder of their GA Cup in the Consolation Bracket after dropping their opening two games to Inter Miami CF and Philadelphia Union before drawing 1-1 with KRC Genk. They'll face the Seattle Sounders (April 3), Vancouver Whitecaps (April 4) and FC Nordsjælland (April 6) in the Consolation Bracket group stage.

GA Cup General Info
The 2024 Generation adidas Cup is an annual MLS-run youth tournament. The GA Cup, which includes 49 clubs both from the U.S. and international, runs from March 30 to April 7 at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Twenty-eight games will be streamed on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
The GA Cup has two age brackets (U15 and U17) and is organized into 10 groups of four teams. Each team plays three games during the group stage and the top two finishers in each group will move on to the knockout rounds, beginning with the Round of 16. Knockout rounds are single-elimination all the way up until the final. Teams that don't advance from the Group Stage will enter a 16-team consolation bracket.
The FCD U15s were drawn into Group I alongside Philadelphia Union and Inter Miami CF of MLS, as well as KRC Genk of the Belgian Pro League. The U17s are in Group I with MLS clubs Toronto FC and Charlotte FC, as well as Club Necaxa of Liga MX.
Last year, FC Dallas' U17 team advanced all the way to the final of the 2023 GA Cup but were defeated by the Philadelphia Union. Despite reaching the final on three occasions (2009, 2011 and 2023), the FC Dallas Academy has yet to win the GA Cup.
