ARLINGTON, Texas (April 10, 2026) – North Texas SC (2-2-2, 9 points) played to a 2-2 draw in regulation with Sporting KC II (0-4-2, 3 points) thanks to two goals from forward Natty James. North Texas won the extra-point shootout 5-4 courtesy of one save from goalkeeper Eryk Dymora.
BACK-TO-BACK FOR JAMES
Forward Natty James scored for his second consecutive brace with another two-goal outing to bring his tally to four on the season. The 21-year-old registered his first two goals of the season in the previous meeting against Sporting KC II last weekend on April 4, helping the club to a 4-1 win. The Trinidad and Tobago international signed for the club in January of 2026 and made his debut against Real Monarchs on March 1, recording an assist in the 2-2 draw. James has earned 23 caps for his nation and scored six times for the Soca Warriors.
GAINING EXPERIENCE
FC Dallas Academy product Wyatt Easterly made his season debut after coming on in the added time of the second half. Easterly previously made his professional debut on Sept. 27, 2025.
SHOOTOUT RECORD
North Texas won an extra-point shootout for the first time this season 5-4 over SKCII. Goalkeeper Eryk Dymora made one save in the shootout. The club fell in its first extra-point shootout of 2026 to the Real Monarchs 4-3 after a 2-2 draw in the opening match on Sunday, March 1 at Zions Bank Stadium.
