FRISCO, Texas (July 26, 2025) – North Texas SC defeated Club Deportivo Tapatío 3-1 to win the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Invitational on Saturday night from Toyota Stadium.

FC Dallas midfielder Pedrinho scored the first and second goal of the match in the 9th and 22nd minute. Pedrinho is the only player in club history to register 10+ goals and 10+ assists in MLS NEXT Pro regular season action.

TARIK SCOTT EXTENDS THE LEAD

FC Dallas Homegrown Tarik Scott extended the lead with his goal in the 67th minute. Scott ranks second in goals scored this season for NTSC in regular season play.

CHEF TSIKI WITH THE SAUCE

With tonight’s start, FC Dallas midfielder Tsiki Ntsabeleng made his North Texas SC debut. Ntsabeleng has 92 appearances, 18 goals, and seven assists in all-competitions with FC Dallas. He was drafted in the 28th overall by FC Dallas in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft.

CHAMPION PEDIGREE

Tonight, FC Dallas midfielder Pedrinho, defender Nolan Norris and goalkeeper Michael Collodi made their return to North Texas SC. Collodi’s last appearance was against Vancouver on March 14th, while Pedrinho and Norris made their last appearance in the 3-2 win against Philadelphia Union II for the MLS NEXT Pro Cup final.

North Texas’ improves their championship record at Toyota stadium to 3-0. North Texas won the USL League One title in 2019, the MLS NEXT Pro Cup final in 2024, and the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Invitational all at Toyota Stadium.
