North Texas SC finished the month of July with a 1-3-1 record with nine goals scored and 12 goals conceded. The club also suffered a shootout defeat to Houston Dynamo 2 on July 15. NTSC’s only win of the month came vs. Sporting KC II on July 31 in a 3-0 win at Choctaw Stadium. A brace from Bernard Kamungo and a goal from José Mulato helped end a four-game winless streak.

Forward Bernard Kamungo is currently third in the MLS NEXT Pro Golden Boot race with 11 goals. John Deins from NYCFC II and Jacen Russell-Rowe from Columbus Crew II lead the race with 13 goals each. The all-time record for goals scored in a single season for North Texas SC is held by Ronaldo Damus who scored 16 goals in the club’s inaugural campaign in 2019. Midfielder Hope Avayevu is tied for first in the league for most assists with seven. The record for the most assists in a season for NTSC was set in 2019 by Arturo Rodriguez who recorded 10 in the inaugural season. Both players are looking to write their names in the history of the club.
North Texas SC is entering its final quarter of the season. After 18 games played the club is sitting 4th in the Western Conference with a 10-5-3 record. There is an eight-point difference between second place St Louis CITY2 and seventh place Minnesota United 2. The team who finishes first in each conference (Frontier and Pacific) qualifies for playoffs plus the next two teams with the most points.
Timbers2 are currently 11th in the Western Conference with 16 goals scored and 47 goals conceded. Midfielder Blake Bodily is T2’s top scorer with four goals in 10 appearances. Forward Selmir Miscic and defender Pablo Bonilla lead the team with three assists each. Timbers2 goalkeeper Hunter Sulte has recorded 44 saves in 14 matches played. Sulte holds a 51.8 saves percentage and has registered one penalty kick save in the season.
