North Texas SC Postgame Quotes
Head Coach Pa-Modou Kah
_
Overall thoughts on the match…
“The boys came out flying today and we knew what spaces we would see on the field based on the last time we played them. You can see the hunger and mentality of the group, it is fantastic. They come in to work every day and our eyes are on the prize. Today’s has to be the best performance this season.”

On the two early goals in the first half…
“Goals change game plans for the ones conceding. We knew where to attack and which areas to use. For us it was about playing a mature game and being ruthless. I think the boys did that very well and it showed today. The game could have been a much higher score if I am honest.”

Forward Bernard Kamungo_
On the match tonight…
“The approach was amazing from the whole team. It all starts from within us. I have to prepare myself mentallly and physically so that everyone else in the team can combine all that work. The mentality was to go for the first goal and then to keep on pushing for more. We just focused on how to play them and all the planning paid off.”

On becoming the club’s top scorer…
“As a player you want to be a player that chases records and breaks records as well. It feels great to have broken that record. This feeling is great and the last couple of weeks and days have been nothing but amazing. It was something that I really didn’t expect in preseason but I am glad that the hard work is paying off and I would like to thank every single player and coach that has helped me along the way.”

Midfielder André Costa
General thoughts on the match…
“It was a great game from us and props to everyone who started and came off the bench as well. Offensively and defensively St Louis (CITY2) are a great team overall and they are the oldest team in our conference. It’s very tough playing against teams like that, they are physical, mature and they have more experience. From the moment I walked into the stadium, I could see the mentality that my teammates had. We already knew that we had clinched in the playoffs but we played with hunger to win the game.”
