MANSFIELD, Texas (July 13, 2026) - North Texas SC goalkeeper Nico Montoya has been called up to the Colombia U-19s National Team training camp from July 13 to July 26 ahead of the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Montoya made six saves in his 2026 season debut on May 2 against Austin FC II. The following week, he recorded his first professional clean sheet on May 9 against MNUFC2. In his career with North Texas, Montoya has appeared in 10 matches and made his professional debut as an FC Dallas Academy player on May 18, 2025 against Dynamo2.
The Antioquia, Colombia native has earned his first call-up to the Colombian U-19 team in May earlier this year in Barranquilla, Colombia. Montoya previously represented the United States and earned a USMNT U-17 call-up in March 2024.
