VANCOUVER, British Columbia (June 21, 2025) – North Texas SC (6-6-3, 23 points) fell 4-3 versus the Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 (5-6-3, 21 points) on Saturday night at Swangard Stadium. Goals from Josh Torquato, Sam Sarver, and Ian Charles marked the first time this season that three different players scored in a single match for North Texas SC.

TORQUATO GETS HIS FIRST GOAL

Defender Josh Torquato scored his first professional career goal in the eighth minute of the match, tying the fastest goal scored by North Texas SC this season (Landon Hickam, 8th minute). Torquato has 10 appearances and three assists for North Texas. He recently made his debut for the senior team in FC Dallas’ 4-2 win against Sporting Kansas City on June 14.

CAPTAIN SARVER REGAINS THE LEAD
Forward Sam Sarver scored his ninth goal of the season from the penalty spot in the 32nd minute. Sarver is five-for-five from the penalty spot this season, and is tied second in the MLS NEXT Pro Golden Boot Race.

FC Dallas Academy defender Ian Charles scored his second goal of the season in the 70th minute. Charles and Torquato are the first pair of defenders to score in a single game this season for North Texas. The UCLA commit has 11 appearances this season, leading all FC Dallas Academy players.
