ARLINGTON, Texas (August 2, 2025) – North Texas SC (8-8-3, 29 points) suffered a 4-1 loss to Colorado Rapids 2 (10-6-4, 35 points) on Saturday night at Choctaw Stadium.

THE CAPTAIN DELIVERS

Forward Sam Sarver scored his 15th goal of the season in the 50th minute. The goal extended his lead in the MLS NEXT Pro Golden Boot race with goals in back-to-back matches. Sarver has scored the club’s last five goals in MLS Next Pro regular season play.

FAMILIAR FACES

FC Dallas Homegrown defenders Nolan Norris and Josh Torquato returned to the North Texas SC lineup. Norris has made nine appearances this season for FC Dallas, while Torquato has featured in four. Torquato recorded his fourth assist of the season on Sarver’s goal.

SERIES RECORD

With tonight’s defeat, North Texas SC falls to a 3-5-4 record against Colorado Rapids 2, and 1-3-2 at Choctaw Stadium.
