Arlington, TX (April 10, 2022) - North Texas SC defeated Colorado Rapids 2 by a score of 3-1 on Sunday evening at Choctaw Stadium. 

Game Summary

First Half:

  • 11’ – SHOT (NTX) – Bernard Kamungo played a squared pass into the path of Blake Pope whose shot went over the Colorado goal.
  • 21’ – SHOT (NTX) – Isaiah Parker’s cross from the left side connected with Hope Avayevu in the box but his shot went slightly wide of goal. 
  • 35’ – GOAL (COL) – Yaya Toure collected a loose ball inside the box and smashed it past Antonio Carrera to give Colorado Rapids 2 the 1-0 lead.
  • 35’ – GOAL (NTX) – Blaine Ferri slotted his penalty kick past Abraham Rodriguez to level the match up at 1-1 for North Texas SC.Second Half:
  • 52’ – GOAL (NTX) – Hope Avayevu kept his calm under pressure as he collected Kamungo’s rebounded shot and slotted it past Rodriguez to give North Texas SC the 2-1 lead.
