FRISCO, Texas (May 22, 2025) – North Texas SC defender James Bulkeley has been called up to the New Zealand U-20 Men’s Youth National Team for a training camp held in Chile from June 1-9.
Bulkeley made his North Texas SC debut this season on March 14 against Whitecaps FC 2 after signing with NTSC in January.
The Napier, New Zealand, native made four appearances for the national team in 2024. He scored his first international goal in the U-19 Oceania Football Confederation Championship final, helping New Zealand secure a spot in the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup 2025 held in Chile.
Led by head coach Chris Greenacre, New Zealand will play two friendlies against host nation Chile. The first match will be played on June 4 from Complejo Deportivo Quilín and the second match is set for June 7 at Estadio Bicentenario de la Florida. Both matches will kick off at 2:30PM CT.
