Arlington, TX (June 11, 2022) - North Texas SC (8-1-2, 27 points) defeats Timbers2 (0-8-2, 4 points) 2-1 on Saturday night at Choctaw Stadium. 

Game Summary

First Half:

  • 12’ – GOAL (NTX) – Alex Araneda played a long ball towards José Mulato who controlled it near the edge of the box and unleashed a low-driven shot that beat Hunter Sulte to give North Texas the 1-0 lead.
  • 19’ – GOAL (NTX) – Bernard Kamungo slotted his penalty kick to the right of the goal to give North Texas SC the 2-0 lead.
  • 43’ – GOAL (POR) – Dylan Akau played a brilliant ball across the box giving Jamin Gogo Peters a direct center shot to pull one back for Timbers2 and make it 2-1.

Second Half:

  • 56’ – SHOT (NTX) – Kamungo played a ball into the path of Hope Avayevu whose shot flew over the crossbar. 
  • 90’+4’ – SHOT (NTX) – Luis Miguel attempted a shot from the right side of the box but his shot was saved by the keeper.
